Dr. Mazen Kharbutli
Dr. Mazen Kharbutli is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST).
Dr. Kharbutli received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University in the USA in 2005. He received the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park in the USA in 2002 and the B.S. degree in the same field from JUST in 2000.
Dr. Kharbutli has several highly-cited publications in high performance computer architecture and computer security. His research interests include: high performance computer architecture, memory systems, computer security, parallel processing, and cloud computing. While a Ph.D. student, he worked under the supervision of Dr. Yan Solihin in the Architecture Research for Performance, Reliability, and Security (ARPERS) research group in the Center for Efficient, Scalable, and Reliable Computing (CESR) at NCSU.
Dr. Kharbutli served on the Board of Trustees of the Arab College in Amman. He also served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology and Chairman of the Department of Computer Engineering at JUST. He is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the IEEE, and the IEEE Computer Society.
